Our tutors love to see their students truly understand the concepts they are being taught during a session.  Our mentor of the month, Adam R. takes great pride in that very moment when his students understand a new concept. Adam RTell us a little about yourself:

Do you think a 1-to-1 connection is important to learning?

A 1-to-1 connection can be vital to learning because each student learns a different way. In a 1-to-1 setting like the one offers, we can adjust to, accommodate and cater to each individual’s learning style in a way that isn’t always possible in a classroom full of other students. Different things motivate different people, and we need to approach our sessions accordingly.

What’s your best homework or study tip?

The best study tip I’ve ever taken advantage of is flash cards. It’s old-fashioned, but it works! The simple act of creating the cards helps to boost retention. Also, it can be a fun activity if friends or family members quiz you.
