In my house studying and snacking go together. Many nights the kids want to reach for ice cream or chips, but I want them to eat healthy. Sound familiar? Since I have a five-year old and a sixteen-year old, I need to find fun, good-for-you fare that fits everybody’s tastes. It’s hard work, but I know it’s worth it when I read studies like the one from The New England Journal of Medicine that found “a third of children who were overweight in kindergarten were obese by eighth grade. I’ve already shared the importance of exercise when it comes to good grades. And the food our kids eat is just as important. Over the years I’ve found a few quick and healthy snacks my kids love that are jam packed with nutrition, so I wanted to share my favorites below!
