Our Senior Program Manager for Military and Federal Programs may be a familiar face to some. From 2007-2012, Kara Froman worked with our public library and military programs in her role as Client Services Manager and, later as Director of Client Services. Kara returned to the team in July, after a year working for an England-based software company. She’s thrilled to return to the Tutor.com for U.S. Military Families team, because she deeply missed working with military families.
Kara has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, and spent 7 years as a classroom teacher before moving into what she calls the “business side of education.” She’s passionate about technologies that support education, delivering a knock-your-socks-off level of support to customers, and delivering a valuable service to students.
When not at work, Kara can be found in the kitchen, cooking large, yummy meals for her husband and their ever-hungry teenage son. She takes as many Zumba classes as possible, and runs trails near her Georgia home while her dog, Zella, walks quickly alongside. Kara also recently learned how to ride a motorcycle, and she loves to get in as much ride time as possible. This spring, Kara took on the famous “Tail of the Dragon,” conquering 318 curves in an 11-mile stretch of Hwy 129 near Deals Gap in North Carolina. Kara is currently brushing up on statistics to prepare for an upcoming statistical data analysis course. It will be her first attempt at a statistics course since High School AP Stats…and she’s looking forward to getting help from Tutor.com statistics tutors!
