Meet Our Summer Interns

Summer is in full swing and for many college students that might mean beaches, barbecues and a well deserved break from studying. However, for the driven few, internships have become key in order to gain some important real world experience. And we’re happy to provide it at! Three of our departments were lucky enough to add an ambitious intern to their roster for the summer and they all have jumped right in.

Laura Brown, Library Sales Intern/Office Manager Laura joined the team this past March to help our Library Team with a range of reporting and research projects. Laura also helps the office run smoothly, making sure the cabinets are well supplied with coffees, birthdays are not forgotten and that there is always a thoughtful quote on the whiteboard by her desk.

Laura is a graduate student at NYU studying German Literature. A creative type in her downtime, she is the Assistant Poetry Editor for fwriction: review and often paints in her spare time. When not reading Benjamin, Bernhard, or Kafka, you can find Laura in a coffee shop scribbling down travel narratives or just simply daydreaming.

Jennifer-Lee Pang, Provider Management Intern Jennifer-Lee recently joined the team to help on-board many new tutors over the summer months.

Jennifer-Lee is currently a Public Relations major at SUNY Buffalo State College with a minor in Hospitality Administration. Interning at our NYC headquarters, Jennifer-Lee is back home for the summer as she is a born and raised New Yorker, originally hailing from Queens.  Keeping herself very busy throughout the year, she is the VP of the academic sorority, Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. and also swims and plays soccer.

Shruti Potdar, MyLivePD™ Intern Shruti is helping change the face of professional development by helping out our MyLivePD™ Team. She does everything from researching and reviewing articles to choosing the special gifts we’ll be giving teachers during upcoming trainings.

A senior at the University of Connecticut, Shruti is majoring in Consumer Behavior with a minor, very impressively, in Molecular Biology. When she isn’t studying she participates throughout the school year in an organization that provides health education to non-English speakers. Also keeping Shruti busy is her love of reading, spending time with friends, and playing tennis.

Thanks to Laura, Jennifer-Lee and Shruti for adding their energy, enthusiasm and expertise to their respective teams!
