Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Last week we shared all the fun activities our Tutor.com team was planning for Memorial Day Weekend.  Baseball is a big part of our summer culture.  Tutor.com is full of passionate baseball fans and friendly rivalries (Yankees vs. Mets anyone?).  A good portion of the office participtes every year in a heated baseball fantasy league dominated by Russell Greenspan our VP of Technology and mastermind behind our mobile app.

It’s no surprise that  Bart Epstein, the General Manager of our Military Team, was especially thrilled to watch his brother-in-law, Yeoman First Class (Surface Warfare/Aviation Warfare) Joshua Byrnes, Executive Assistant to Navy Reserve Force Master Chief Ronney Wright throw out the first pitch during the Nationals game in Washington, D.C.

While most amateurs choose to throw from a few feet in front of the plate, Byrnes got right on the mound and proudly represented the Navy with a great pitch across home plate.    What a memorable way to welcome in the summer!

Any more baseball fanatics out there?

– Jennifer Kohn, VP Corporate Communications who is convinced the reason she was hired more than ten years ago was her correct answer to a baseball question.
