Happy Mother’s Day to Our Office Mom

Tutor.com's office mom with her daughter Jill, our military marketing manager

On Sunday many of us will be thinking about or spending time with our respective moms.  Here at Tutor.com we are lucky enough to have an office mom – that’s right a mom who takes care of us right at the office!  Now, she doesn’t work for the company, nor does she even live in the same state as our headquarters.  But, every few weeks a package arrives with a dizzying array of baked goods, colorful paperware and just plain old fun stuff usually with a theme – Halloween, winter holidays, Spring – you name it.

And for a few hours one of the office tables is piled high with home-baked goodies.  We’re not talking your run-of-the- mill assortment of chocolate chip cookies and brownies (although we’d take those too).  These are Midwestern specialties with a twist.  We’ve enjoyed and devoured Clothes Pin Cookies, which are baked on actual wooden clothespins; Hawaiian chocolate chip cookies (pineapple and chocolate and coconut, oh my!; Buckeyes; and, Poppy Seed Kolache which are George’s (aka our CEO) personal favorite.

While “mom” may address these packages to her daughter Jill, our military marketing director, there is always more than enough to share and we know in our hearts the goodies are for us too.  So with deep appreciation and full stomachs we wish mom Musguire a very happy Mother’s Day!

And not to be too pushy, but when’s the next package coming?

I am forever partial to the Hawaiian Chocolate Chip, but don’t overlook her delicious and buttery butter cookies with frosting and holiday candy on top! Served of course, on a festive holiday plate. And you can read the local paper while you feast!

    YAY for Mom Musguire.
