Fort Belvoir Shares Tutor.com with Local Students

We had a great time at Fort Belvoir last Friday night. Bart Epstein, a Tutor.com colleague and D.C. local, visited his nearby Army base for pizza party introducing students and parents to our Tutor.com for Military Families program.

The party was held at Fort Belvoir’s computer lab and some students brought their homework questions (getting homework out of the way on a Friday night leaves the weekend free for fun!) and others signed up for an account and checked out the features in the online classroom.

Fort Belvoir School Liaison Officer Mary-Jo Chapin promoted the event with CYS programs, and posted flyers in the library, Fort Belvoir Elementary School, Mount Vernon High School and Whitman Middle School.

Ms. Chapin is hoping to plan another event in the fall and is considering mailing flyers home, as well as visiting school bus stops to help get the word out about this great program for military students and families.
