Marine Corps Introduces for U.S. Military Families

Camp Pendleton played host to VIP guests and Marine Corps families yesterday to introduce the online tutoring and career help program now available for free for all military families.

Attendees gathered at the Mainside Library and found out how to create an account and use the tools in the online classroom to get help with things like algebra homework, English assignments, research projects and resume writing.  After the presentation, students had a chance to go online to get a tutor and try the classroom out first-hand.

Mr. Vernon Taylor, Head, Lifelong Learning, USMC emceed the event, and Colonel Nicholas F. Marano, Commanding Officer at Camp Pendleton, and Mr. Larsen, Director of the Personal and Family Readiness Division, USMC, talked about the benefits of the program for Marine Corps families.

Marine Corps members who want access to need to call, email or drop by a base library to get a password. Those not near a base library can email
