Every once in a while, we get a comment from a student or parent that really makes our day, and Friday was one of those days.

We received the comment below in an email from the parent of one of the students who tried Tutor.com for the first time.

Amanda M is awesome. My daughter is a honor student, she has never been taught how to write a proper paper. The teachers are too busy teaching to a test. Therefore they have been taught a great deal of vocabulary, and literature. My daughter is shy and will not ask for help in a classroom. the tutor was positive and patient! My daughter is actually smiling. It is fun to see the light bulb come on for her. I could have taught what I learned in college but I was not sure if things have changed in 25 years. Thank you so much you made my daughter smile !Thanks.

For those of you who don’t know, at the end of every online tutoring session–our website shows that we’ve done 4,660,818 online tutoring sessions as of the time I am writing this–students are invited to leave ratings and comments about their experience. Asking students what they think is something pretty unusual in the world of education, and we think it’s one of the things that makes Tutor.com special.

Thanks to this young woman for giving us the chance to help you with your paper, and thanks to Amanda M, for doing a great job tutoring this student. You clearly made her day, and the comment we received from her mom made the day for all of us at Tutor.com.
